Rental Terms & Policies
Please review the following terms before booking The Sauna Rig. These policies help ensure a safe and enjoyable rental experience for everyone.
Booking Deposits & Cancellations
A 20% booking deposit is required to reserve your rental dates.
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled rental start time are eligible for a full refund of the booking deposit.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled rental start time, including no-shows, will result in forfeiture of the 20% booking deposit.
Date changes are subject to availability and must be approved by The Sauna Rig.
If The Sauna Rig must cancel a reservation due to equipment unavailability or another reason within our control, the customer will receive a full refund of payments collected for the affected rental.
Refundable Damage Deposit
For approved customer pickup and self-towing rentals, a refundable $500 damage deposit is required before the trailer is released.
The damage deposit will be refunded following the trailer's return and inspection, less reasonable, documented costs for new damage occurring during the rental period.
Normal wear and tear and pre-existing damage are excluded from deductions. Normal wear and tear means minor superficial wear resulting from ordinary, careful use that does not impair function or require repair, such as light surface scuffs or routine bench wear.
Normal wear and tear does not include collision or impact damage, dents from trees or other objects, curb scrapes, bent rims, tire damage caused by impacts, broken fixtures, or damage resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow operating instructions.
Any deductions will be itemized and supported by photographs and repair or replacement documentation. Any remaining deposit balance will be refunded within seven business days after the trailer is returned and inspected. If additional time is reasonably needed to obtain repair estimates, The Sauna Rig will notify the renter.
The damage deposit does not limit the renter's responsibility for documented damage exceeding the deposit amount, subject to applicable law.
Rental Payments & Delivery
A 20% booking deposit is required at the time of reservation. The remaining rental balance is due on or before the scheduled rental start date.
For rentals delivered by The Sauna Rig, delivery fees are calculated at $2.25 per mile, round trip, based on the destination city. Delivery charges are calculated separately from the initial booking deposit and will be communicated to the customer before the rental begins.
Delivery and pickup arrangements must be confirmed with The Sauna Rig before the rental start date.
Customer pickup and self-towing are available only with prior approval and are subject to additional requirements outlined below.
Customer Pickup & Self-Towing
Customer pickup and self-towing are permitted only with prior written approval from The Sauna Rig.
Renters must provide a valid driver's license, acceptable proof of insurance, and information about their tow vehicle before pickup.
The tow vehicle must be appropriately rated and equipped to safely tow the trailer. The Sauna Rig may decline pickup if the vehicle, hitch, electrical connections, braking equipment, insurance, or other safety requirements are not satisfied.
Only approved drivers may tow the trailer.
The renter is responsible for damage caused by improper towing, collisions, impacts, negligent handling, or misuse during the rental period, except to the extent caused by pre-existing defects or The Sauna Rig's negligence.
Any accident, damage, equipment malfunction, or unsafe condition must be reported promptly to The Sauna Rig.
The trailer must be returned at the agreed time and location, with all provided equipment and accessories.
Sauna Safety & Equipment Use
Renters agree to operate The Sauna Rig responsibly and follow all provided safety and operating instructions.
Only approved firewood may be burned in the sauna stove. The use of accelerants, treated lumber, trash, or other unauthorized materials is prohibited.
The sauna stove, chimney, and surrounding surfaces may become extremely hot during operation. Renters must exercise caution to prevent burns, fires, and damage to the equipment.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Individuals should consult a healthcare professional before sauna use if they have medical conditions, are pregnant, or have concerns about heat exposure.
Sauna use while impaired by alcohol or drugs is prohibited. Users should stay hydrated, limit heat exposure according to their tolerance, and exit immediately if they feel dizzy, faint, or unwell.
The sauna must not be moved or towed while the stove is burning, hot, or otherwise unsafe for transport.
Renters must not modify, disconnect, or tamper with the stove, chimney, ventilation, or safety equipment.
Any malfunction, damage, or unsafe condition must be reported to The Sauna Rig promptly, and use must stop until the issue is resolved.
Cleaning, Damage & Returns
Renters agree to return the sauna and all provided equipment in substantially the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear.
Personal belongings, trash, and other items brought into the sauna must be removed before return or scheduled pickup.
Renters are responsible for reasonable, documented cleaning or repair costs resulting from excessive mess, misuse, or damage beyond normal wear and tear.
Any missing or damaged accessories, fixtures, or equipment may result in reasonable replacement or repair charges.
The sauna must be available for pickup or returned at the agreed date, time, and location. Any changes to the return schedule must be approved by The Sauna Rig in advance.
Renters must ensure the stove and ashes have cooled to a safe condition before the trailer is moved or returned, following The Sauna Rig's operating instructions.
